BANANA SPLIT CAKE | |
2 c. crushed cinnamon crisps (Keebler's) 1 lg. can crushed pineapple, drained (reserve juice) 1 box (2 envelopes) Dream Whip Cherries (optional) Nuts (optional) 1 stick melted butter 2 c. powdered sugar 4 lg. bananas 2 eggs 1 1/2 sticks butter 1 pt. fresh or frozen strawberries Split bananas and soak in pineapple juice. Combine cinnamon crisps and melted butter and pat into 9x13 inch pan to form crust. Combine powdered sugar, 1 1/2 sticks butter and eggs. Beat with electric mixer for full 15 minutes and spread over crust. Drain bananas and discard juice (use for breakfast drink!). Place bananas on top of powdered sugar mixture. Spread drained pineapple over that. Top with Dream Whip, prepared per package directions. OPTIONAL: Before Dream Whip, add layer of strawberries. Chill in refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving. Top with nuts and cherries, if desired. NOTE: This recipe MUST be good! At least 3 people sent it in! |
