BOLOGNA SANDWICH
Buy some ham or bologna (one pack) and some bread (one loaf) and buy a little jar of mustard. Then you make yourself a bologna sandwich. Put the bread down on the table, put the bologna on it. Spread the mustard on the bologna. Put another piece of bread on the bologna, then eat it with some milk. Then clean up.

Take the in - laws " out to dinner". Load everybody into the BIG pickup truck. Stop at the local Bubba's convience store for bologna, any kind of bread and a bottle of squeeze mustard. Put the tail gate down right on the side of the road and everybody make their own bologna sandwich, any way that makes you happy. Enjoy!!!

Bologna is best on 100% whole wheat bread with mustard drizzled on bottom slice, then 2 slices bologna, drizzle ketchup on second slice of bread then place it on top and chow down!!

Boy I just love this site. The bologna sandwich hit the spot with my wife. I prepared not one but two bologna sandwiches for her the other evening when she came home from work. She was exceptionally tired and it was our 40th wedding anniversary so I decided to splurge a little. God knows she is worth the fuss. I changed it up a bit and she seemed really pleased. You know that red ring that is around the bologna? I think it is called the casing....well I took it off this time before I prepared the sandwich and I think I have left her in awe. I should be getting out of the hospital soon and I am thinking about a potted meat sandwich next. All kidding aside I have laughed so hard at the responses to this. My hat is off to the genius who came up with this recipe.

Make small slits on sides of bologna, fry in small amount of oil then place in oven proof dish. Place mashed potatoes in center of bologna and top with shredded cheese. Broil until cheese melts and potatoes has light crust. Recipe is from cafeteria during my school days many years ago.

My son-in-law, one of nine children, told me that his family would fry the bologna, making bologna boats. Then they would fill them with whatever they wanted, i.e.: chili, cheese or whatever they found in the refrigerator.
