BOLOGNA SANDWICH
Buy some ham or bologna (one pack) and some bread (one loaf) and buy a little jar of mustard. Then you make yourself a bologna sandwich. Put the bread down on the table, put the bologna on it. Spread the mustard on the bologna. Put another piece of bread on the bologna, then eat it with some milk. Then clean up.

I agree with Mel from Mississippi, adding just plain Lay's potato chips. You will get hooked to the best bologna sandwich ever!

Can this be made in advance? Sounds perfect for an upcoming event but would have to make ahead. Does anyone know the shelf life or how well this holds up in the freezer? Also, how much mustard is used? Reread recipe but couldn't find measurements anywhere.

Do you spread the mustard left handed or right handed? If applied backwards the whole sandwich could be ruined.

A great variation.... Make a fried bologna sandwich with butterered and pan-fried white bread (like a grilled cheese), with a slice of American cheese and a single fried egg (break the yolk and fry hard). I grew up on these and enjoy them to this day :)

Let's not forget that a layer of potato chips makes a great addition, not the wavey ones !

Make my bologna sandwich like this:

You first need 2 slices soft fresh white bread, put them on a paper towel spread both slices with margarine, not to much! Then you lay your bologna on gently, then on the other side of bread, you spread a layer of your favorite peanut butter, place the peanut butter side on the top! This is soooo good it'll make want to slap you knee & shout yippie! Enjoy it with a bowl of good ol' chili., only way to eat chili here in Greenup Ky!

Fry the bologna till edges start to brown, throw it on a plate and cover with maple syrup. Sweet and salty heaven!

Too funny! But makes me think of my mom's bologna salad. She would grind a big chunk of deli bologna, mix in chopped boiled egg, sweet pickle relish, and miracle whip. Nothing like it between two slices of bread!
