OLD FASHIONED FUDGE 
3 c. sugar
1 env. unflavored gelatin
1 c. milk
1/2 c. light corn syrup
3 (1 oz.) sqs. unsweetened chocolate
1 1/2 c. butter
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. chopped walnuts

Butter 8 x 8 x 2 inch pan. In 3 1/2 quart saucepan, mix sugar with gelatin. Add milk, corn syrup, chocolate, and butter. Cook over medium heat to 238 degrees on candy thermometer. Remove from heat; pour into large bowl. Stir in vanilla extract. Cool 25 minutes. Beat with wooden spoon until candy thickens. Stir in walnuts. Spread in pan. Let cool. Cut into squares. Makes 2 1/2 pounds.
