ONION BUTTER AND SNACKS 
ONION BUTTER:

1 lb. butter (or 1/2 lb. each)
3 envelopes Lipton onion soup mix

Mix together and allow to sit at room temperature for a few hours or overnight.

ONION SNACKS:

1 loaf square white, sliced sandwich bread

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cut crusts from bread. Spread onion butter on each slice to cover completely. With sharp knife neatly cut each slice into 4 strips, squares, or triangles. Place, slightly apart, on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes until golden. Refrigerate remainder of butter for use later. If you have any snacks left (they go fast), store them in an airtight container.

NOTE: Onion butter is wonderful on baked potatoes or hot cooked vegetables.
