FROSTED ORANGE COOKIES 
1 c. shortening
2 c. white sugar
2 eggs
4 c flour
1 lg. tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. sour milk
1 level tsp. baking soda
Juice of 1 med. orange and grated rind of 2 oranges

Cream shortening and sugar together. Add eggs one at a time, beating well. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Mix sour milk and soda. Add orange juice and grated rind. Mix alternating dry ingredients and liquid. Drop on ungreased sheet, 1 scant tsp. for each cookie. Bake about 14 minutes at 350 degrees. When cool, ice with 1 box powdered sugar, 2 tbsp. butter, rind of 1 orange and enough orange juice to make good consistency.
