CRUMB CAKE (EA) 
3 c. sifted flour
2 c. sugar
4 tbsp. butter
3 tsp. baking powder
1 1/4 c. milk
2 eggs
Pinch of salt

Put flour and sugar through sifter. Work in butter with fingers, just enough to make crumbs. Take out a handful of crumbs for each cake. To remaining crumbs add egg yolks, slightly beaten, baking powder, milk and salt. Add beaten egg whites last. Place in pans and sprinkle with crumbs and small bits of butter. Bake in 350 degree oven for 25 minutes. You may, if desired, sprinkle cinnamon also on top with crumbs. Makes 2 cakes.
