CABBAGE BALLS 
Make these with new cabbage that has loose type leaves. Usually the whole head has to be put in hot water to make leaves limp.

Prepare 2 pounds ground beef or ground chuck as for meat loaf. I prefer pieces of broken up bread in it. Add seasoning salt, pepper and paprika. Dice some onion, parsley and green pepper and add if it suits your taste. I moisten the ingredients with milk, catsup or barbecue sauce. Mix well.

Make little balls and wrap each in a large cabbage leaf and tie with white thread. Brown on each side in hot grease and put in a large pan for boiling. Add tomato sauce or puree mixed with water and boil until meat is done.
