IRISH STEW 
2 lb. stew beef
2 c. water

Boil beef until tender. Add whole onions (all same size), small potatoes (same size), and 1 can carrots, cook until vegetables are tender. Remove vegetables and drop in dumplings (liquid must be boiling). Cover for about 5 minutes.

Remove dumplings. Take a little of the boiling water and add to chicken gravy. Add this mixture to vegetables. P. S. Make dumplings just like biscuits.
