1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. chunky peanut butter
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. chocolate chips

Cream sugars, shortening, peanut butter, eggs and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Beat well. Mix in chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. Makes 4 dozen cookies.
