PEANUT BUTTER CHOCOLATE CHIP
COOKIES

1 c. Crisco
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. peanut butter
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
2 eggs, well beaten
1 tbsp. milk
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 (12 oz.) bag chocolate chips
1 to 1 1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Combine Crisco, salt, and peanut butter. Mix well. Add granulated sugar and brown sugar gradually and cream thoroughly. Add beaten egg and milk, mixing well. Sift flour with soda and add to first mixture, blending well. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. This will make a fluffy dough. Drop by teaspoons on greased baking sheets. Press each cookie with finger. If you make cookies small enough, they will not spread and you can get about 3 dozen on a large cookie sheet. Bake in moderate oven (325 degrees) for 12 minutes. Approximately 12 dozen.
