BAKED CRANBERRY PUDDING 
2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3 tbsp. melted shortening
2/3 c. milk
1 egg
1/2 lb. (2 c.) cranberries

BUTTER SAUCE:

1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. half & half

Sift dry ingredients; add shortening, milk and egg. Beat well, then stir in cranberries. Pour into a greased and floured 9 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees until toothpick comes out clean when poked into cake.

Sauce: Melt butter in top of a double boiler. Add sugar and cream. Cook over hot water for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve hot over cake.
