2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs, beaten
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt & cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 c. flour
1 c. nuts
4 c. chopped apple

Combine all ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Serve with sauce.

HOT BUTTER SAUCE:

1 c. milk
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. vanilla

Cook over medium heat until it boils and thickens a little.
