(Do not refrigerate or use electric mixer.)

DAY 1:

Put starter into a large bowl; stir; cover loosely.

DAYS 2-4:

Stir daily; recover.

DAY 5:

Add: 1 c. sugar 1 c. milk

Recover.

DAYS 6-9:

Stir daily; recover.

DAY 10:

Add: 1 c. sugar 1 c. milk

Mix thoroughly. Take out three cups and give to 3 friends, with a copy of this recipe. (If you want to continue making it remember to keep 1 cup.)

To the remaining batter add: 2 c. flour 1 c. sugar 3 eggs 1 tsp. salt 2 chopped apples 2 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. vanilla 2 tsp. baking soda

Bake in greased and floured bundt pan or 2 loaf pans for 40-50 minutes at 350. Optional additions: Dates, nuts, raisins, coconut, etc. Up to 1 cup total.
