GERTRUDE'S CABBAGE RAISIN SLAW 
1 head cabbage, shredded
1/2 c. raisins (soaked hot water until soft)

Let cabbage chill, then drain raisins and add to cabbage. Add salad dressing as desired, salt and stir until well blended. Place in refrigerator until ready to serve.

DRESSING OR SLAW:

1/2 tbsp. butter
1 egg
1 tbsp. vinegar
1/2 tbsp. flour
1/3 c. sugar
Salt, pepper, mustard to taste

Cook until thickens. When cool, add 1/4 cup cream.
