GINGER DROP COOKIES 
1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 c. sour cream
1 c. molasses
1 tsp. cloves
2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda

Cream shortening, sugar, and egg; stir together flour, soda and spices. Add molasses to cream mixture; alternate dry mix and sour cream. Let stand about 30 minutes. Drop by spoonfuls onto cookie sheet. Bake in 350 degree oven about 10 minutes.
