ROLLS 
1 packet yeast
1 c. warm water
1 c. warm milk
1 stick butter or 1/2 c. Crisco (melted)
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt (omit if using self-rising flour)
1 egg
1/2 c. instant potatoes or 1/2 c. mashed potatoes
6 c. flour

Dissolve yeast in warm water. To warm milk add melted butter or Crisco, salt egg (slightly beaten), and instant or mashed potatoes. Add yeast mixture to warm milk mixture.

Add flour until you have a thick dough. Cover and let rise until double. Work the dough down (adding flour if needed) until you can put it on the board and roll our. Grease pans and melt butter. Cut out, dip in butter and place in greased pans. Let rise and bake in 350 degree oven until brown.
