APRICOT-ALMOND SLICES 
2 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
6 oz. soft butter
2/3 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1 lg. egg
Can of Solo or Bakers apricot filling
Slivered almonds for garnish

Cream butter, sugar, egg and vanilla. Gradually mix in flour. When dough is smooth, divide into 4 sections. Make a snake from each section and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Make a trench in each and fill with apricot filling. Sprinkle with slivered almonds. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes until brown. Cut in diagonal while warm in 1/2 inch slices.
