MARY'S DESSERT 
1 lb. box vanilla wafers, crushed
1 c. chopped nuts
3/4 c. melted butter
1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream

Add 1 cup chopped nuts and 3/4 cup melted butter to 1 pound box of vanilla wafers. Put 1/2 of that mixture in bottom of oblong pan (9 x 13). Spread 1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream over it. Then put remaining vanilla wafer mixture on that. Freeze. Serve with chocolate syrup.
