SOUR CREAM BROILED TOMATOES | |
4 lg. firm, ripe tomatoes 1/2 c. sour cream 1/2 c. mayonnaise 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 tsp. parsley flakes 1/2 tsp. basil 2 tsp. all-purpose flour 1 tsp. sugar Cut tomatoes in half crosswise. Squeeze gently to remove juice and seeds. Broil 6 inches from heat for 5 minutes. Mix remaining ingredients together. Spread over tomatoes. Broil about 2 minutes more until tinged a golden color. Serves 8. |
