SCOTCH CHOCOLATE CAKE 
2 c. plain flour
1 stick butter
2 eggs
1 c. water
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. Crisco
3 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla

Put flour and sugar in mixing bowl. Mix shortening, butter, cocoa and water and bring to boil. Pour over flour mixture gradually. Then add other ingredients and mix well. Put in long pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.

ICING:

1 stick butter
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 box powdered sugar
5-6 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts
1 c. coconut
