GROUND BEEF CASSEROLE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 med. onion, chopped
6 to 7 med. potatoes, sliced
3 or 4 carrots, sliced
1 env. brown gravy mix
1 can mushroom soup
3 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

Brown ground beef and drain. Stir in brown gravy mix and mix well until beef is well coated. Place potatoes, onions and carrots in microwave dish. Dot with butter, and add salt and pepper. Stir. Add small amount of water and cook in microwave for 8 to 9 minutes on high setting. Stir. Cook for 8 to 9 minutes more. Remove and add ground beef and mushroom soup. Place in conventional oven and cook for 30 to 40 minutes at 400 degrees until vegetables are tender.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
