MRS. H.'S FRUIT CAKE 
1 lb. nuts, whole
1 lb. dates, whole
1 c. maraschino cherries, drained
1 1/2 c. pastry flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. sugar
7 eggs

Measure fruit in bowl. Add all dry ingredients to fruit and mix. Separate eggs. Beat egg yolks separate. Beat egg whites to hold a soft peak. Add yolks to egg whites. Fold in carefully. Pour over fruit and dry ingredients; mix well. Pour into 2 well greased loaf pans. Bake 350 degrees 1 hour.
