FROSTED FUDGE SQUARES | |
3 1/2 oz. unsweetened chocolate 3/4 c. butter 4 eggs 2 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla extract 1 c. all-purpose flour, sifted 1 1/2 c. broken nuts Melt chocolate and butter together in top of double boiler. Cool. Using wooden spoon, beat eggs slightly, gradually adding sugar, salt and vanilla. Stir in cooled chocolate. Sift flour over nuts. Mix thoroughly, then add to batter. Stir only enough to combine. Pour into greased 12x8x2 inch pan and bake at 325 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. Frost with Quick Frosting. Immediately after removing cake from oven, place 8 small thin milk chocolate bars over top. Cover with a flat pan for a few minutes to hasten melting then smooth chocolate over surface. |
