OATMEAL CAKE 
1 c. quick oats
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/3 c. flour

Pour 1 1/4 cup boiling water over 1 cup quick oats. Let stand 20 minutes. Mix shortening, sugar and oats. Add dry ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.

OATMEAL ICING:

3/4 stick melted butter
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. Milnot
1 1/2 c. coconut
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. pecans

Mix all together. Pour on cake. Set back in oven 1 hour, turn off oven.
