POLISH PRUNE SOUP | |
1 qt. water 1 c. prunes 1 tbsp. butter 2 1/4 tbsp. sugar 1/4 tsp. salt 3/4 c. macaroni or home made dumplings 1 1/2 tbsp. vinegar Bring water to a boil; add the prunes, butter, sugar, and salt. Cook 8 to 10 minutes. Add macaroni and continue cooking until macaroni is done. Add water, if needed. After macaroni is done, remove from heat. Add vinegar and stir well. Cover saucepan and let stand a few minutes. This soup is good served warm or cold. |
