Gooey Butter Cake - Recipe

GOOEY BUTTER CAKE

Grease a 13 x 9 inch pan.

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Stir together:

1 pkg. yellow cake mix
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 stick melted butter

Pour into pan, spread to cover.

Mix together:

2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened

Pour over first layer, cover first layer completely.

Bake exactly 40 minutes.

There appears to be an error in this recipe. In the "stir together" instructions, there should also be a yellow cake mix in addition to the eggs, vanilla and butter.
