OATMEAL MUFFINS 
1 c. rolled oats
1 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 c. corn meal
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 lb. chopped raisins or dates
1 egg, well beaten
1/4 c. honey or molasses
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
2 tbsp. salad oil

Combine rolled oats, flour, cornmeal, salt, baking powder and soda in a bowl and stir until thoroughly mixed. Add raisins and mix well. Combine egg, honey and milk and beat until well blended. Add to dry ingredients and stir until it is just well mixed. Do not beat. Stir in salad oil. Bake in greased muffin tins in moderately hot oven about 25-30 minutes.
