TEXAS HASH 
3 tbsp. cooking oil
2 lg. onions, sliced
2 c. cooked tomatoes
2 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 lg. green peppers, sliced
1 lb. hamburger
1 c. cooked rice
1 tsp. salt

Heat oil in skillet. Saute peppers and onions until tender; do not brown. Add hamburger and cook until pink is gone from meat, stirring with fork to crumble the meat. Add tomatoes, rice, and seasonings. Arrange in a greased baking dish and top with buttered bread crumbs. Bake at 325 degrees until crumbs are brown. Serve this with FRIED POTATO WEDGES (below).
