CRUSTY POTATO CASSEROLE 
2 lb. baking potatoes, peeled
Salt & pepper
1 c. water
6 tbsp. butter

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Thinly slice potatoes in food processor with the thin slicing blade. Place in bowl of ice water to cover until ready to use. Arrange slices in layers in a heavily buttered 13 x 9 inch pan, sprinkling each layer lightly with salt and pepper. Pour water over top; dot with small pieces of butter. Bake, uncovered, for 1 1/2 hours or until top is brown and crisp and potatoes are tender. Serve immediately. Serves 6.
