HIDDEN APPLE COFFEE CAKE 
3/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. nuts, chopped
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 (7.5 oz.) cans buttermilk country biscuits
1/4 c. butter, melted
1 apple, cut in 20 pieces
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1/4 tsp. vanilla
2 to 3 tsp. milk

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a 9 inch round cake pan. Combine sugar, nuts and cinnamon in small bowl. Dip biscuits in melted butter, then into sugar bowl mix. Arrange biscuits in pan overlapping; 15 in outer ring to 5 in center. Place apple slice between each biscuit. Bake at 375 degrees 25 to 35 minutes. Cover with foil, if necessary, to prevent excessive browning. Cool 2 minutes. Invert on serving plate. Cool 5 minutes. Pour mixture of powdered sugar, vanilla and milk over top.
