1 c. shortening
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. crushed Bakers Ammonia from pharmacist
1 c. coconut

Cream shortening, butter and sugar. Add flour, ammonia and coconut. Roll in balls. Bake at 325 degrees for 15 minutes on ungreased pan. This is an easy short cookie. Hardest part is finding a pharmacy with ammonia crystals and asking them to crush it for you!
