OATMEAL CAKE AND TOPPING 
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 c. quick oats
1/2 c. oil
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Mix boiling water and oats. Let stand 20 minutes. Cream oil and sugar; add eggs. Beat well. Add oats. Add dry ingredients. Bake in greased 13 x 9 x 3 inch pan at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

TOPPING:

1 c. brown sugar
1 stick butter
1 pkg. coconut
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. nuts
1/2 c. cream

Mix all ingredients and boil until thick. Add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Spread on cake while hot.
