2 cups lard (or butter)
3 cups sugar
4 eggs
2/3 cup buttermilk
2 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
4 tsp. vanilla
6 cups all-purpose flour

Mix all together and chill dough. When ready roll out dough and cut cookies. Bake at 475°F for 9 minutes.
