3 c. flour
3 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
6 tbsp. cocoa
1 1/2 c. water
1 1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. buttermilk
3 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Blend together cocoa, water and butter; bring to a boil and pour over flour, sugar and baking soda mixture. Mix together. Add buttermilk, eggs and vanilla. Blend all together and bake in a 12 cup tube bundt pan, greased and floured, for 1 hour in a 350 degree oven. A must when our family gets together. An excellent frosting for Linda's cake is Linda's icing.

ICING:

1 c. butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
6 tbsp. buttermilk
1 box confectioners' sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix together butter, cocoa and buttermilk. Bring to a boil and remove from heat. Add sugar and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
