FREEZER SLAW | |
1 med. head cabbage 1 tsp. salt 1 grated carrot 1 green bell pepper, chopped 1 c. vinegar 1/4 c. water 1 tsp. mustard seed 1 tsp. celery seed 2 c. sugar Grate cabbage. Add salt. Let set 1 hour. Squeeze off water and add carrots and pepper. Combine vinegar, water, mustard seed, celery seed and sugar. Boil 1 minute. Cool to lukewarm and add to slaw. Pack in containers and freeze. |
