QUICK AND EASY CASSEROLE 
1 lb. ground beef
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 or 1 pkg. (24 oz.) hash brown potatoes, thawed
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
1 onion, chopped
1 can French fried onions (or can use 2 cans)
Can use 1 cup sour cream (optional)

Cook beef and chopped onion; drain. Add to other ingredients and mix well. Bake 40 minutes at 350 degrees. Then sprinkle dried onions on top and put back into oven for 1 to 2 minutes.
