CREAM PUFFS 
1/2 c. shortening (Crisco works best)
1 c. water
1 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
4 lg. eggs

Bring shortening and water to boil in heavy saucepan. Add flour and salt to water and beat until mixture is thick and smooth and comes away from the sides of the pan. Remove from heat. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Drop from tablespoons on greased baking sheet. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes then at 400 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool.

FILLING:

1/2 c. sugar
5 tbsp. flour
2 c. milk
2 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
Pinch of salt

Make slit in top of puffs and fill with filling. Sprinkle powdered sugar on top. Serve immediately.
