SPICED SHRIMP 
1 1/4 c. salad oil
3/4 c. white vinegar
8 bay leaves
2 1/2 tsp. celery seed
2 1/2 tbsp. capers with juice
3 dashes Tabasco
2 tbsp. liquid smoke
3 lbs. shrimp
Sliced red onion as needed

Alternate layers of 1 pound cooked shrimp with layer of sliced red onion. Pour marinade over all. Marinate 3 to 4 days (up to 1 week). 3 pounds shrimp serves 10 people.
