ALMOND BUTTER COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond extract
3 1/2 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
Powdered sugar icing

Cream together butter, cheese and sugar until fluffy. Add egg, vanilla and extract; beat smooth. Stir together flour and baking powder; add to creamed mixture and mix thoroughly. Force through cookie press onto ungreased cookie sheet. Or roll out chilled dough on lightly floured surface until 1/8" thick. Cut in assorted shapes with cookie cutters. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in 375 degree oven for 8 to 10 minutes. Serves 20.

ICING: Beat together 1 cup sifted powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon softened butter and 1/8 teaspoon almond extract. Add 1 to 2 tablespoons milk or enough so icing spreads.
