1/2 c. butter, softened
1 (18.5 oz.) box yellow cake mix
1 (21 oz.) can apple pie filling
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. commercial sour cream
1 egg

Cut butter into cake mix until mixture resembles coarse meal. Press mixture lightly in bottom and 1" up sides of a greased 13"x9"x2" pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

Arrange apple slices on warm crust. Combine sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle over apples. Combine sour cream and egg, heat lightly. Spoon over apples. Bake additional 15 to 20 minutes. To serve, cut into squares. Makes about 15 servings.
