PDQ PICKLES 
1 tsp. pickling spice
3/4 c. vinegar
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. ground turmeric
4 c. desired veggie - zucchini, cucumbers, carrot sticks, etc.

Tie mixed pickling spice in cheese cloth. In saucepan, combine pickling spice bag, vinegar, sugar, salt, and turmeric. Bring to boil, then simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat; pour over desired vegetables. Cool to room temperature. Store in covered container in refrigerator. Remove spice bag before serving.
