CHICKEN SOUP 
1 to 2 chickens
Water
4 peeled carrots, cut in half
4 stalks celery, cut in half
1 lg. peeled onion
1 peeled parsnip
1 peeled rutabaga
4 clove garlic
1 bunch fresh dill or to 2 tbsp. dill
Salt, white pepper

Place chicken in pot and add water to make 2/3 full. Bring to boil and continue until foam appears. Skim off foam and reduce heat to a simmer. Add rest of ingredients and season to taste. Cover and simmer for 3 to 4 hours.
