BUTTERCREAM FROSTING 
1 lb. confectioners' sugar
1/4 lb. (1/2 c.) soft butter
1/8 tsp. BLAIR colorless vanilla flavoring
3 to 4 tbsp. milk

Cream 1/3 sugar with butter in large bowl. Blend flavoring, 2 tablespoons milk and remaining sugar into mixture. Gradually stir remaining milk into frosting until desired spreading consistency is reached. Yields: Frosting for 2 (9 inch) round layers.
