MILKY WAY® CAKE | |
2 tbsp. vegetable shortening 3/4 c. finely chopped nuts 12 snack size MILKY WAY® 1 c. buttermilk or plain yogurt or sour cream 1 c. butter 1 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. vanilla 4 eggs 2 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 3/4 tsp. baking soda Grease 10" tube pan. Coat pan with nuts. In a heavy saucepan over low heat, melt MILKY WAY® and 1/4 cup of buttermilk stirring frequently until smooth. Beat together butter and sugar until light and fluffy, blend in vanilla. Add eggs, 1 at a time, mixing well after each one. Add combined flour, salt, soda alternately with remaining 3/4 cup of buttermilk mixing just until dry ingredients are moistened. Blend in MILKY WAY® mixture. Spoon into prepared pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 to 60 minutes. Cool 10 minutes. Invert onto wire rack. |
