TEN CUP COOKIES 
1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. peanut butter
1 c. oatmeal
1 c. nuts
1 c. coconut
1 c. chocolate chips
1 c. dates or raisins
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. baking soda

Cream butter and sugar. Add rest, except stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes on ungreased cookie sheet. Cool on sheet 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.
