Earthquake Cookies

The funny thing about this recipe is I am the one who dubbed the name in 1964 after the great Alaskan earthquake. My mom made these cookies and I saw the striking similarity with how the earth looked after that horrid day. I mentioned it to my home economics teacher and the next thing you know she was on the Woman's Touch (local show) with the recipe. Kind of felt ripped off but I am proud to say it was ME that named them. Yay!
