1/2 c. shortening 1/2 c. brown sugar 1/2 c. sugar 1 egg 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 c. flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 c. oatmeal 1/2 c. chopped walnuts 1/2 c. coconut 1 c. corn flakes or Wheaties Cream together shortening, sugars, egg and vanilla in a large bowl. Mix together flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda; add to creamed mixture. Stir in oatmeal, walnuts, coconut and corn flakes or Wheaties. Form into 1" balls. Flatten slightly with fork on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. |
