SPAGHETTI SAUCE
1 lb. ground beef
1 med. onion, chopped
1 (16 oz.) can whole tomatoes
1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (16 oz.) can tomato paste
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. dried parsley flakes
1 tsp. salt
1 bay leaf
1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
1/2 tsp. dried basil leaves
1/4 tsp. pepper
Cooked spaghetti

Mix ground beef and onion in 3-quart casserole. Microwave at high (100%) until beef loses pink color, 5 to 9 minutes. Stir once to break up beef. Drain. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover.

Microwave at full power for 10 minutes. Stir. Reduce power to medium-high (70%), microwave, uncovered, until sauce thickens and flavors are blended, 15 to 20 minutes. Stir 2 to 3 times during cooking. Serve over spaghetti.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
