GRITS CASSEROLE 
1 1/2 c. grits
6 c. water
1 tsp. salt
2 c. (8 oz.) shredded sharp cheese
3/4 c. milk
1 1/2 sticks butter
3 eggs, well beaten
1 garlic clove, minced

Prepare "quick grits." Cook grits, water, and salt until done. Add cheese, milk, butter, eggs, and cloves while hot. Stir and cook over low heat, if needed, until cheese is melted. Pour into 3-quart greased casserole or 9x13 inch baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Serves 8-12.
